Dr. Vedat Burkay Çamurdan is a Consultant in Orthopaedics & Traumatology at Turkish Hospital with extensive clinical and academic experience in the management of musculoskeletal disorders, trauma, and orthopedic surgery. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered orthopedic care with a strong focus on functional recovery and sports-related injuries.
He has broad clinical experience in both elective and trauma orthopedics, including fracture management, joint injuries, ligament reconstruction, and complex musculoskeletal conditions. His training and practice include advanced surgical techniques in arthroscopy, limb reconstruction, spine-related procedures, and sports medicine.
Dr. Çamurdan has worked in several leading institutions, including Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty Hospital, Taksim Training and Research Hospital, and Iznik State Hospital. He has also served as a team physician for the Turkey Women’s U16 National Basketball Team and as an osteological consultant during international archaeological research projects.
He has completed multiple specialized training programs in orthopedic surgery, including knee arthroscopy, Ilizarov techniques, spine surgery, shoulder arthroscopy, and sports medicine, as well as international observership training in Ireland.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Çamurdan has contributed to numerous international scientific publications in orthopedic oncology, trauma, and rare musculoskeletal conditions. His research work reflects a strong interest in complex orthopedic pathology and advanced surgical outcomes.
